Had a little blowout last night. Checked the brew just before going to bed and found krausen had invaded the airlock and it had clogged. There was evidence of the airlock making contact with the bottom of the table under which the fermenter was stored as it made it's way to the floor a couple feet away. Krausen was oozing out of the now unobstructed hole where the airlock was supposed to be.
After cleaning and re-sanitizing the airlock, I took a sanitized spoon scooped a little of the krausen from around the inside of the airlock hole, then reinstalled the airlock. This morning, it's not clean, but the seal is holding. Provided it continues to hold, I'm inclined to just leave it until we rack in a day or two.
Temperature holding at 68°.
