Greg, the fellow I met at the Brewfest and presumptuously asked to send me a photo of the woman in the Port Townsend Brewing Company poster, came through as promised with this image. I think it's just great. Thanks Greg!

Kegged

Kegged the HL 2.0 tonight. Final gravity was down to about 1.010, so there appears to have been a bit more fermentation in the conditioning stage.

Washington Brewers Festival

Yesterday was the first day of the Washington Brewers Festival. I met Charles and Joe down there late in the afternoon and we tasted as many beers as we could before they shut down for the evening.

Every beer I tried was enjoyable. They were:

• Anacortes Cask IPA -- very hoppy and fresh, light but strong;
• Harmon Braveheart Scottish Ale -- very good, much lighter and crisper than expected for a Scottish ale;
• Heads Up Oatmeal Stout -- tasty, a little thin, at 7.9% the weakest beer on their taps;
• Water Street Big Phatty Imperial Red -- very good for a red;
• Heads Up Bi-Polar IPA -- super strong, tasted like it had cider in it;
• Port Townsend Hop Diggity IPA -- very good, not super hoppy;
• Rogue Hoppy Frog IPA -- I have trouble remembering this one.

As I was enjoying the Hop Diggity IPA, I was also admiring the poster that was the centerpiece of their booth display. It suddenly dawned on me that the woman pouring the beer was the woman in the poster! It was interesting because the poster image has a rather ethereal quality, quite different from the real person standing in front of it. Another festival-goer with a camera said he would send me a photo of the two together, hope he comes through.

Racked the HL 2.0 today. It smelled great! Final gravity is 1.011, estimated alcohol by volume is 5.7%. Here are the fermentation rate readings for the week:
